Searching for half-brother

Post by Munthali » Tue Dec 17, 2013 7:43 am

Please help, I discovered I have a half-brother born in Finland. He must be between 24 and 26 now and mixed race. He was born in Helsinki but no idea where he is now. His first name is Teppo and that's about all I know. If you know anyone that meets this description please get in touch at tawongam at hotmail co uk.

If anyone knows the best place to get more information or major radio/newspapers where I can place an advertisement, I'll be grateful.

Well... you know one parent's name, do you perhaps know the other's? If you know the name and birthday of the Finnish parent or if your parent was registered as living in Finland you could request for their registry record from the magistrate or the parish (depending on through which one they were registered, at that time most were through the parish... the links didn't have an English version, but use Google translate). Request for the registry output to include any decendants.

Newspaper: Helsingin Sanomat
But I don't know how much 24 to 26 yo read actual paper newspapers these days, though.

Good luck!
