Hi everyone!
I would like to move to Finland, to live together with my boyfriend, next September. I decided to do a language course and then start studying In autum 2015 (cause we decided that I move here after the application time ended for this year...). I'm EU citizen and my boyfriend is finnish, . I get some benefits from the german government till 2017, and I get enough money from my parents, so the registration at the police office should not be a problem. My Problem is that my health insurance is just valid till Feb 2015. As far as I understood, I cant apply for Kela when I'm a student or unemployed.
So my questions are, how do I get a permanent residence permit? And how do I get Health insurance?
I'm grateful for every answer cause I read too many web pages and now I'm even more confused than in the beginning...

If/when you have lived together more than six months, you can apply as a family member. Since you will have a European Health Insurance card until 2015 you can just use that if you don't yet satisfy the six months. More information is available at:

For Kela, yes [1]. Two years for residence permit but since the OP is an EU citizen, it is not the concern here as she says she will be able to register her right of residence.Rip wrote:Six months, not two years?betelgeuse wrote:If/when you have lived together more than six months
