If you have a car, you can donate stuff in Selki (near Vihti) or Riihimaki. They sell stuff and use the money to support families and people who quit drinking.

Salvation Army has some donation places too.

Thank you all for the response.

I understand how hard to manage and deliver used clothes and throw some away. But I don't donate waste, I only donate clothes in good condition and when it's old and my closet has no enough space.

Quick points I learned and like to share if anyone wants to donate:
- Choose the clothes carefully, never donate trash.
- Wash the clothes first.
- Fold them and put them in nice bags; not the garbage bags.

Thanks again, will check those places.

Although only the best part goes to the store in Finland UFF at least they claim they only trash 11% of the total and those are properly disposed of.

(I've read the stuff about "funny" ideological background, but in so far as one is just interested in getting rid off unneeded clothes...)

H&M had at least short time ago (a long term) campaign where one could take maximum two plastic bags (shopping bags, not black garbage bags) filled with clean textiles (possibly, but not necessarily clothes) two a store and get a discount coupon for a change.

Here's the UFF page in english

It was suprising for me that they only take the good stuff ... Oxfam in the UK take everything

I guess in Finland the amount collected is too small to extact value from everything?
