RP application status on "Being Decided On" for 3 weeks...

Going to 16 weeks now and the decision concerning my residence permit hasn't been made yet. I think this should be the longest residence permit application for studies in history... :d

I would usually discourage people from contacting migri, but maybe you should start to pester them.

Hmmmmm...its exactly 2 months today my status on migri changed to "being decided on", which means they have used 2 months now to make decision and yet they haven't arrived at one. The processing of my application alone took just 1 month and some few days....while I was thinking, processing should be longest part of an application, they have just shocked me by spending more than 8 weeks to make decision. The last time I called migri was 17th december and the person that attended to me promise I will receive decision early january.

Trust me, the status they have on the website has nothing to do with the actual status of your application. My application was "Initialized" for a few months and then suddenly "Waiting for notification".

I called the office and I was told to hold on...that it is still going to be january. We have 5 working dAys left in january. Its now 17weeks my application got initiated. Is a RP for studies suppose to ever take diz long??? Any one with diz kind of experience???

What did it say in the decision letter?

The decision was in finnish, but the summary states that I was denied for insufficient means of support. Till now, I don't understand that because I had 6880 euros in my account....

I have a feeling that you did one or both of these:
- Deposited a large sum of money to reach 6880 shortly before you submitted your application.
- You withdrew a noticable portion of the money shortly after submitting your application.

@adnan, u are correct wit no. 1, I deposited 6750 euros at once 4days b4 submitting my applications, den added more around december wen naira dropd in value just to increase d money in my accnt. If u don't mind, can I have ur email so that I can send u d documents in finnish and u can sumerise it for me. .... I didn't torch d money for the whole 4 months period, so that can't be a reason.

hi ICT did you apply in Finland or abroad?
I applied back in June and I'm still waiting on mine. It seems calling them is no use.
I checked my e service app. and it says the decision's been made since Feb 23 but yet I haven't gotten any letter,email or phone call :S

WoW, that's even a much more longer time. I applied from abroad...now that they have made a decision, it is best u call the embassy for your decision...the error mail come from your email.
