Residence Permit Decision

I am from Turkey. I have applied for residence permit for studying, and now, my application status is "waiting for notification". When I contacted the embassy to ask when can I learn about the decision, they said that if the decision is favorable, then they will post the decision with the residence permit card. But I still don't know if the decision is positive or not. Is there a way to learn the decision before they send you the residence permit card?

If you have applied electronically, which you did as you mentioned "waiting for notification" status - means the decision is already been served - acknowledge the receipt and open the notification - otherwise you will be served with the same through the concerned consulate, in that case sit back and be patience.

Hey, How much time did it take for your application status to 'change for notification' once you submitted your application. This will help people to analyse the timeline for student residence permit application outcome. Please mention your date of application submission and date of notification. Thanks.

At May 26, I went to embassy to initiate my application. Until June 9, its status remained "initiated", then suddenly jumped to "waiting for notification". At June 19, I got my residence permit card.
