I'm from the US - applied as a specialist. Applied here in Finland per recommendation of our attorney. I think if I weren't applying as a specialist, I would have applied from the US. I arrived here and started working May 26 and had my appointment June 1 (appointment that I thankfully made back in April - didn't know until someone casually mentioned it that I needed an appointment and that they were so hard to come by).
