Hey guys, I've got a question regarding my studies in Finland, I'm going to ask at the university, but I'm first interested if anyone has some experience with it or some opinions. So I applied for the Finnish Master's programme, but I will have my Bachelor's final exams in September (I'm studying Bachelor's in my home country). I asked about that before applying and they said it's not a problem and I also wrote it into the application of course. So now I got accepted, but in the letter there is no information about when or how I'm supposed to show my Bachelor's diploma. What I'm worried about is, what happens if I don't succeed in BC final exams in September (it's possible, because I have two majors and have to finish both), which would mean I will take another try in January. I wonder, if I can still study the Master's then. I'm supposed to accept the place at the university and pay the Student's Union now, but could I still be a student there if my BC is not ready yet? Also if I don't make the BC in September, should I tell them, or just wait until somebody wants to see my diploma?
Has anybody studied Master's before finishing the Bachelor's? Thanks for any insight

Re: Studying Master's programme before finishing Bachelor's?
I have! However, my situation is slightly different than yours. I had already acquired all of my credits but I was waiting for my final certificate and degree. Plus, I was admitted into the program in exceptional circumstances (the research being conducted by the department was lacking in some areas where I was able to contribute), so I got in based on "discretionary admission".Lavender wrote:Has anybody studied Master's before finishing the Bachelor's? I studied there for several months before getting my Bachelor's degree. I even quit studying there before getting my Bachelor's degree.
So, yeah, it shouldn't be impossible. Just keep in mind that each case is different. So don't take anybody's experience and apply it to yourself. Best source of information is the university where you'll be studying.
Every case is unique. You can't measure the result of your application based on arbitrary anecdotes online.
