I have applied for a RP its been four months now and my husband was asked to submit supplimentary documents for more clarification and they asked for our original legalized marriage certificate even though when i submitted my application at the embassy they made a scanned copy of our marriage certificate and sent it through the issue now is that i have sent the certificate via courier and im scared that the doc might reach Helsinki too late because we are given 2 weeks to submit all the sublimentary to immigration. So my question is is it possible for us to explain the situation to immigration and we get just a few more days to submit the certificate just incase the courier company doesnt deliver on time

From what I now, the immigration service in Finland isn't made up of unreasonable people. If you show that you've sent the certificate very soon after you were told to, then they'll most likely understand that the courier company can have delays.
Perhaps you can email them a scan of the shipping receipt where it shows the sending date.
