Advice on custom made furniture

Post by aaronabelchen » Mon Jan 25, 2016 3:43 pm

Hi!

Just moved to Helsinki from Australia.

Back home, it was sometimes cheaper to custom make your furniture (dining table etc)

Was wondering if anyone knows:

1. Where to buy cool retro second furniture

2. Where can find carpenters (or even apprentices or students) who could make simple furniture?

Thanks!

Tell me what you need and what price you want to pay for it.
You could email me any design in edge (3D) format or Autodesk inventor files, this will greatly reduce the costs.
If you need the design done too, a sketch with measurements will do, a final design will be send to you for approval...in that case it will become costly, it will be unique though! (design needs to be paid when designing order is placed).

Delivery time varying from 4 weeks to 6 months, depending on the complexity and size. All is handwork done by a professional furniture builder in the middle of Finland (he is French) and build from real (and only) wood (not the IKEA stuff)
Payment 70% in advance, 30% at delivery and inspection by you.

If you are looking for something cheap.... try the recycle stores, the have sometimes good old retro stuff for "reasonable" prices. 8)
If god would give us the source code, we could change the world
