unemployment and citizenship application

Post by sam_001 » Tue Aug 30, 2016 10:02 am

Hi,

Suppose that I applied for citizenship with all the requirements fulfilled and excellent financial job history in past with a very good salary. Then few months after I submittied my application, my job ends with mutual agreement with the company. Now since I ended my job with mutual agreement, the union asks me to wait for three months before I become eligible for benifits

In the meanwhile I look for job. Now I have few questions

1) How usual is it for the citizenship office to ask again for job certificate or salary slips when they start processing the application
2) Even though my past two years salary slips showed very good salary and tax history, If I do not have a job at this point, will this effect my application
3) If I have some savings in my bank account, will this help in justifying that I can still survive so that I can get the citizenship?
4) I know that there has been some changes to the resident permit where 2600 euros is the limit for a family of couple with two children. Is it same for citizenship?

Regards
Sam

If you're here on permanent permit or are able to otherwise extend your A-permit if necessary during the application period (for the latter you could need to show income) your income level has no effect for citizenship application as such. Just answer truthfully on what money you're living now, if you're still asked about the situation. Even municipal welfare benefits would be OK in this case.
