Hi,
I have been denied insurance for baby from IF because father/mother do not have fluent Finnish skills. I was not aware of such rules. Is it really the case?

They can refuse to conclude a contract when you don't understand the terms. If you bring someone interpret, then they can't do that any more.

That was not the case. They clearly told me that either mother or father needs to have Finnish skills. I told that I have colleagues and friends that are Finnish. When I asked to send me the term I received an email with the following message.
The insurance holder must know either Finnish or Swedish language in written and oral to fulfill his or hers obligation to notify the insurance policies.
Therefore, I guess it's not only a matter of translating the document.

Seems like it is a matter of translating all the subsequent documents and claims too.kisun wrote: ↑Tue Jan 30, 2018 10:05 pmThat was not the case.
