Btw, anyone has idea how long is considered “long trip abroad”? 1 month? 2 months? 3 months?
[/quote]

The following periods of absence from Finland will not interrupt your continuous period of residence, and their time will be calculated as continuous residence time:

absences of a maximum of one month
a maximum of six periods of absence that last 1–2 months each
a maximum of two periods of absence that last 2–6 months each
The following period of absence from Finland will not interrupt your continuous period of residence but it will not be calculated as continuous residence time:

a period of absence that lasts longer than six months but one year at maximum
If you are absent from Finland for longer than a year, your continuous period of residence is interrupted. The periods you have lived in Finland before your absence will be counted towards your accumulated period of residence.

Hmmm... i have made quite a few trips in the past 5 years but most of them are 7-10 days. Only couple of 1-month trips in Europe and couple of trips last almost 2 months in my home country. Will it be a problem?

Hi guys!

Is there anyone in this group who has had experience or information about the appeal of citizenship decision in Administrative court?

I am now in the stuck situation. My case is in the court for last 6 months. In next six months, I meet all the conditions required for citizenship. Now, query is ,can I make a new application when the old case is in the appeal process? If the appeal's decision is taking longer time, how will it impact my second application?

Any opinions and suggestions would be helpful.

Thank you guys and nice freezing winter to you all.
Sorry to hear. I personally dont think that you can send new application while the old one is in appealinv process. But maybe im wrong. And by the ways, did they say why your application is rejected?

On the page of Migri with the calculation of the term there is such a phrase”Did you arrive in Finland without getting a residence permit in advance?”, what does it mean? I do not understand.
Does this mean that if I was waiting for my first residence permit in Finland then I should answer no?

You shall answer Yes, if you applied in Finland for the permit.

Btw, that processing time calculator doesn’t show you your actual time but it is pre-programmed to show exact same results based on the date you choose. It will show you fixed months and same number of pending applications no matter what date you choose.

How did you come to Finland? If you came here first time with a tourist visa or you dont need a visa to come to Finland, then answer “Yes”; otherwise answer “No”.

No kuusipalaa I obtained student RP before coming to Finland. I was myself very frustrated as I expected my case to be very straight forward and was expecting a decision in 4-5 months. But still this time I don't understand how migri selects the applications from que.
