You must perhaps email them now. Because I had emailed them in the beginning of Feb. They told me that there is a huge backlog of pending applications and told me that my application might be processed by mid-Feb (even though it’s still in First stage). You should also email them because your has even exceeded the avg processing time of 7 month max.Victor11 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 14, 2019 4:11 amNo my 1st RP was granted outside Finlandsuomenkansa10 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 13, 2019 4:13 pmDid you also apply your first residence permit in Finland?

I noticed that Migri has changed estimated processing time. Previously it was 5-7 months but now it’s programmed to 5-6 months in reality, it’s happening 7-8 months?
Re: Citizenship Application 2019
It’s been 5-6 months at least since December 2018 when I checked.suomenkansa10 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 18, 2019 10:04 amI noticed that Migri has changed estimated processing time. Previously it was 5-7 months but now it’s programmed to 5-6 months in reality, it’s happening 7-8 months?

Wow ! Congratz Which city did you apply from?asv wrote: ↑Wed Feb 20, 2019 11:09 pmGot a positive decision today.
Proved my identity on 13.8.2018
Moved to Processing stage 11.1.2019
Additional info requested 16.1.2019
Then 5 weeks of silence and final decision 20.2.2019
As I see related information is updated in Väestörekisterikeskus immediately, also decision paper says that citizenship is valid starting today.

Helsinki
No, not in Finland.kuusipalaa wrote: ↑Thu Feb 21, 2019 8:29 pmGeneral question did you also apply your first residence permit in Finland?
In the beginning estimation for decision (on migri.fi) was between 16.1.2019 - 16.3.2019 (5-7 months), later they changed it to 16.1 - 16.2 (5-6 months).

Re: Citizenship Application 2019
I had applied for the first residence permit in Finland and my total waiting time was 5 months and 1 week (applied in July, decision in December). So it's not a critical factor.kuusipalaa wrote: ↑Thu Feb 21, 2019 8:29 pmGeneral question did you also apply your first residence permit in Finland?asv wrote: ↑Wed Feb 20, 2019 11:09 pmGot a positive decision today.

Actually, that estimated processing time is (pre-programmed) and same for all of us. They keep updating it after few months (in general) but it’s always the same for everyone of us. It showed 5-7 months before and now it shows 5-6 month to everyone with same circumstancesasv wrote: ↑Thu Feb 21, 2019 10:20 pmHelsinki

Re: Citizenship Application 2019
I know people who got a decision in two months. But on MiGri's website there are two different queues with different waiting times. For those who filed for the first residence permit in Finland and those who applied for RP outside the country.I had applied for the first residence permit in Finland and my total waiting time was 5 months and 1 week (applied in July, decision in December). So it's not a critical factor.

Any news?
My residence permit will end soon, I called to Migri to find out what to do, they said that they would give my question to the worker who is considering my case, but they advised me to apply for a new residence permit.

Every time I ask Migri about the new processing estimage, they give this kind of a generic reply:
