Hello, if someone can give asistance please.
Im the father of tow children, both are Finnish citizens minors. At the moment their mother is the only custodian of both of them. Getting the custody of my kids is no problem, me and their mother agreed that i will get also legal custody.
My questions are.
If i go to Finland and apply there for the RP, do i get a work permit while i wait for the desition? Or i have to be able to support myself during the months i wait for a desition?
Ive read that direct family members do not need to show means of support while in Finland, but im not surge if that apply while the prosses is going.
How can i get an apparment to rent while im there?
Waiting RP in Finland during the process?
Re: Waiting RP in Finland during the process?
After you get partial custody of your children you can apply for RP based on family with Finnish citizen. You can apply from Finland also and wait here but before the permit is granted you cannot work. It normally takes about 9 months to get that permit. During this time you will not be able to register as living in Finland at Maistraatti so you cannot do much as you will not have a personal identity number. For renting you may need to use just booking.com, airbnb, forenom, etc like the tourist's do.
