Do you have to start a Residence Permit A straight away?
Do you have to start a Residence Permit A straight away?
Hi everyone
I'm looking to move to Finland later this year on a Self-Employment Permit (toiminimi)
My question is, say it's granted in November, how long do I have before I have to enter the country and start using it?
i.e., If I still need a few months to make arrangements and they grant it in November, could I start that Self-employment and Residence Permit in January?
Thanks

You can move whenever during the validity period. If you do it late in the period, expect some questions on renewal.Bookcase wrote: ↑Mon Feb 25, 2019 9:47 amI'm looking to move to Finland later this year on a Self-Employment Permit (toiminimi)

Thank you
Do you know if the 12 months residency starts from date of entry into the country, or from date of issuing?
i.e., if they approve self employment and residency permit in November, and I only enter Finland in January – do I only have 10 months of residency available or the full year still?

The residence permit card has the start and end date it does not matter when you move to Finland.

Okay thank you.
So it seems like even though it may be a wait up of to 10 months to find out whether a visa is approved, we really have to be ready to pack up life here and move to Finland within a few days notice!
I don't mind doing this, just good to know

Would you please kindly provide some hint, how much should be paid as salary of self-employment? More than 1200/kk euro enough?

I don't know what /kk means (do you mean per month?)
The Migri.fi website says
You have to show income of 1000 EUR a month
Or have savings of at least 12 000 EUR in the bank for a one year permit and stay
