My building will have pipe renovation (putkiremontti) later this year and I am ready to leave Finland anyways, so I want to sell my apartment in Helsinki near the centre (Töölö).
The apartment is 55m2 and the floors are not in good condition and the paint also needs work.
I was thinking I should put in a new floor and have painters fix the paint (to make it easier to sell) but some friends of mine said that it might be better to let the new owners do it because they will want to have their own choice of floor and paint anyways.
So, does anybody have a similar experience and can tell that it is better for me to sell the apartment as is? Or should I make it as nice and presentable as possible? (Ie, new floor + paint)?
