Meaning of ”tekee kuolemaa”

Post by CrazyDiamond28 » Sun May 26, 2019 12:15 am

Hello,

Jos joku ”tekee kuolemaa”, tarkoisiko et ihminen on ”dying”? Vaan se on jo kuollut?

I am translating a text right now and from the Finnish articles, my hunch is that someone is dying, not dead yet. But I really need the exact nuance on this one.

Thank you a lot!

Doing the dying part actively. Think hangover or man flu. It can mean that someone is literally dying, but most likely it is used when someone is figuratively dying.
