Return ticket for traveling Finland on tourist visa

Is it mandatory to have valid return ticket when traveling to finland on tourist Schengen visa.? Or is it enough to have hold ticket. In our case exact return dates is yet to be finalized.

A ticket is not required but it’s required to show means and funds to leave the area.

It's required to have a confirmed return ticket or you will be denied boarding on your incoming flight.

Tickets must be confirmed with E-ticket number which can be verified by the airline. Also the return flight shall follow the number of days your visa was issued
