Good evening everyone.
In migri.fi, a list of student permit processing queue is published every week. For this week, it says "Applications arrived on 14 May 2019 are currently waiting to be processed." Last week it was 7 May 2019.
I applied in 10 June, and visited the embassy in 17 June. So approximately, will my residence permit start to be processed in 13 August-20 August? I have a little bit urgency because I have summer school in 12 August and actual studies in 2 September, however I did not mention the summer school in applications because that time my summer school application was not approved yet. Is there any way to speed up the process. I know that in migri.fi it is mentioned that "Calling will not speed up the process," though.
Thanks all!

Student permits are always automatically considered urgent. There is no way to jump the queue. They will get to yours as fast as they can.
Re: Concern About RP Weekly Queue
Same concern here, applied June 18th, guess there will be some delay this year.

Can't wait, hopefully they processed many apps this week cuz the residence permit card itself takes 2 weeks to get made & 1-3 weeks to reach the mission where you applied (according to migri), seeing how there is only 1 month left, it's looking grim.waqasmajeed wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2019 10:59 pmDon't worry. My situation is exactly the same. There is no way you can jump the queue.
Lets hope and pray migri speeds up the processing time of study permits so that students will be able to reach on time

You are absolutely right. It takes 2 weeks for RP to reach service point and then 3-4 days from service point to you via courier.
Lets see what happens....

Today's update made me more depressed. First permits were just progressed by 3 days. Now the processing queue is in 17 May 2019.

Re: Concern About RP Weekly Queue
Same here. I submitted my online application on June 13, visited the embassy the next day. The status was updated to "In progress" on July 8th and no change ever since. I'm leaving for Finland at the end of August and starting to be very nervous.
I've seen two Korean students who submitted their applications in June and got permits within 10 days. So I just don't get it. Well, those two girls were exchange students for ~6 months, and Mine is for a graduate program for at least 12 months; I guesss that's why mine is taking so long?
