In this way you can improvise in the test too by interchanging the scenarios when needed. This is how I did, I used to go chapter by chapter in Suomen Metari book 1 and 2, convert it into my local language and then start writing Finnish for it. In this way I was able to eliminate converting the text to English language (which every one of us do). So I did not have not to work hard to remember the story in the chapter. Once I had the story written in my notebook, I kept on practicing that every other day. Then I started speaking what I used to write and my speaking improved just enough to pass YKI exam.
I passed YKi with 3 grade in every module except Listening and that too in my very first attempt.

Thanks supermies! Did you only read suomen mestari 1 and 2 ? I find them quite weak compared to Yki exam.
Re: Citizenship Application 2019
I was just giving the options approved by migri , I personally have it so I didn't need to make any other tests.
All the best with it

Along side mestari 1 and 2, you should go through the listening and reading tasks provided by Yle. Alongside that I user to read easy Finnish news on Yl3 every day.
This helped me to get new words for my vocabulary.
You do not need to be super fluent to pass the speaking or writing.
Just speak or write as simple as it could take.

Does it matter if one writes in spoken/written language ?Supermies wrote: ↑Fri Jun 28, 2019 4:34 pmAlong side mestari 1 and 2, you should go through the listening and reading tasks provided by Yle. Alongside that I user to read easy Finnish news on Yl3 every day.

Re: Citizenship Application 2019
You should strive to write correct words and sentences both grammatically and spelling. Spoken is different than writing.
Write as basic as it could get but it must be correct and avoid silly mistakes.
Hope that helps

Some bad news According to Migri
"Delays in the processing of citizenship applications in July and August
25.6.2019 9.30
Unfortunately there will be delays in the processing of citizenship applications in July and August. The Finnish Immigration Service is piloting the partial automation of the processing of citizenship applications, and this is causing some delay.
The goal of the agency is that routine tasks, such as the various register checks, could in the future be performed automatically. In this way, the employees of the agency could focus on the more complex cases that require investigation.
We apologise for the delays."

Re: Citizenship Application 2019
Yeah. Just read that the other day.
They already are too slow to process applications.
It is already 6 months since I proved my identity, still waiting to be processed.

Congratulations
Re: Citizenship Application 2019
Hey guys! A huge congratulations to all who already received their positive decisions, you guys rock
Now, a couple of questions from someone only planning to apply (read: me ):
1) If you or someone you know has had it, could you please share an experience of applying with a bit less than 4 years of continuous stay? Do they protest accepting the application at Migri when proving your ID? And what's the likely decision?
2) If they asked for a clarification of income during student years (seems common so far), how did you show it in your application? Which document did you attach - bank transactions, deposit certificate w/required yearly amount, sth else?
P.S. Knowing how these forums work, I'd like to kindly ask in advance to only share your real experience or that of someone you know. Please, no personal opinions or guesses - I will abstain from answering to those unless they're offered in good will.
Thanks a lot for reading this wall of text & looking forward to hearing your experiences! Once again congrats to all who're done w/this mess

No. This is the only way to know average processing time of applications from persons who report here. Real average is from all the applications that migri receives.
