Feel the same for March applicants. Applied mid march, and nothing.

It's difficult to know for sure whether they are processing those applications or not, only very few people are updating their application status in this forum

Heard of some people who received positive decisions. One applied in January and another - in April, both got decisions in November.

At the same time there is a person who applied in Feburary, still waiting.

Hi,
After 9 months of submitting my application, I receved the same email from Migri which I received when i submitted my application. I was expecting that migri will ask me to submit additional documents (although they have asked me to submit additional documents 3 months ago) but they sent the same email. My application is still on stage 1.

What does it mean? Does anyone know or have the same experience?

Following is the translation of their email:

"Dear customer,

thank you for using our e-service! Your application is now in Enter Finland and is awaiting processing. You can also check the processing stage for your application at any time by logging into Enter Finland.

You can also find the expected processing time for applications with the same basis on our website at https://migri.fi/en/treatment times If the expected processing time stated on our website has not yet been exceeded, wait in peace and quiet.

If your application needs to be completed, we will send a request to your Enter Finland account and you will be notified by email. When the decision has been made, you will receive a notification of this by e-mail.

You do not need to take any action based on this message. Do not reply to this message.

Sincerely

migration Board

Hi all!
Me and my daughter received our positive decision today. It took 6 months and 27 days in total. I am really happy as well as grateful. :D

Here is my timeline:
25.04.2019 - Proved my Identity (Raisio/Turku)
25.10.2019 - Asked for additional information then I provided the asked info on the same day.
20.11.2019 - Received our positive decision.

Extra info for someone else needing to prepare his/her application:
- I am from Kenya in Africa (if this info can help someone)
- I passed YKI by just mastering Suomen Mestari 1 and Suomen Mestari 2 (Only chapter 1 to 4) - I will enroll for more Finnish language courses until I become "Sujuva"
- I have been doing newspaper delivery job for quite sometime plus Wolt. (95% of income is from Newspapers while 5% is from Wolt) I had A permit which was issued based on work(meaning employed by a Finnish company) so I did not want to risk by breaching my permit conditions. At some point I really wanted to concentrate with only Wolt but after asking the Raisio immigration, they told me I can be employed and be self employed but the self employment should not be more than my employment.(Meaning I could not devout all of my time to Wolt and less time to Newspaper job) This is because, You are not employed by Wolt but rather you act as their partner- This whole explanation should not be taken as an absolute truth because I am sure different service points can give different answers. For me, I was just trying to stick to the conditions of my A permit

I wish all of you the very best as you wait for your decisions. God bless!/Inshallah!

At last my application moved to stage two today.

Proved identity on 7th Feb. Lets see how much time they take to give the decision. Took them 9 months and 14 days to start processing.

PS: For future applicants, do not apply in Helsinki , apply elsewhere as the other centers takes less time in processing of application be it permit applications or nationality. (Just my observation and experience)
