not going to go into incredible detail, so i don't expect a comprehensive answer. let's just say i received a tax bill in the mid-five figures for income i certainly never saw. this is on top of already paying off a six-figure inheritance tax that i had to take a loan out to pay, which i paid off late 2019.
is the finnish government known for making mistakes in the tax office? what is my recourse for disputing this? i was told all of the info i'd need would me on omavero, but as vague information often goes, i found nothing.
does the finnish government make many mistakes with taxes?

They are not known for mistakes in cases that involve straightforward application of formulas to input. However, when there is interpretation involved, for example big companies can take them to administrative courts and win. I don't know which party prevails most often.LudvigBorga wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2020 12:55 pmnot going to go into incredible detail, so i don't expect a comprehensive answer. let's just say i received a tax bill in the mid-five figures for income i certainly never saw. this is on top of already paying off a six-figure inheritance tax that i had to take a loan out to pay, which i paid off late 2019.

But that income was declared, so I'd start the unraveling from that. Where is the money? Who declared it?LudvigBorga wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2020 12:55 pmlet's just say i received a tax bill in the mid-five figures for income i certainly never saw.
