Student residence permit

Hello everyone.

Can anyone help me regarding the topic of Student residence permit.

I had applied for the same on the 10th of December 2019 and I managed to get my identity verified on the same day itself.

As per the processing time I should be receiving the decision by the 10th of March. However I am a bit apprehensive about the fact its taking so long.

Is anyone else facing the same issue?

My condition is the same as yours with a little bit difference. I have submitted my application on 18th December and since then my application has been stuck in the first stage (waiting for processing). what about your stage?

Its also in "Waiting for processing" phase.

Its quite irritating now that the expected time period is coming to a close.

Have you contacted to migri? i talked to them once and they told me there is a long queue for student residence permit. I don't know how they can cope with the new students for the new academic year in the coming months?
please let me know if your stage change.

Yes I have. They have mentioned that the expected wait time is now 1 month. Hopefully I get my decision soon.

I proved my identity on 16th October, 2019 and I'm still on the "waiting for processing" stage. I contacted migri and I was told to be patient. So think you have to be too

Right after my interview I was told by the lady who interviewed me to update my bank statement and that of my sponsor just to be safe which I did. And in January my school sent me a certificate (which I attached to my application) that proves I still have a study place in August since I was supposed to start last year but I missed the deadline due to the congestion in booking the appointment to prove my identity. But No, migri hasn't officially asked for additional documents.

Yes... I received my decision on April 6th... It was positive

why 1st of August ? did you defer your admission ?
