Bank account with cancelled permit

Hi guys,
Does anyone know if you can keep your Finnish bank account if your residence permit is canceled because you moved away?

Up to the bank. I haven’t looked into their policies and contract terms.

What I know is that at least you need to have an address in Finland, and be able to use strong identification.

I received an email from the population services saying my information has been updated with my new address abroad and that I have permanently moved away. So not sure I would be considered to have a permanent address in Finland.

What I learned that some expat Finns have had problems if they didn't have any address in Finland.But you have to check with your bank. you should have thought about this beforehand....

The population register allows adding a postal address in Finland regardless of where the address of residence is.
