Hey,
I got stopped by the police and was told I was doing over 60k/m in a 40K/m zone in a scooter. My mistake and happy to pay the fine.
However, the policeman said he would drop the calculated speed to 59 km/ph so that I wouldn’t get a fine based on my salary. My fine is €200.
My salary is approx 3k per month after tax. I found a police calculator and it seems the day fine would only be approx 49€. He said it would be more like 500€.
Can anyone help to clear this up? Thanks!

The lowest speeding fine based on day fines is 10 day fines.joepublic wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2020 8:33 pmI got stopped by the police and was told I was doing over 60k/m in a 40K/m zone in a scooter. My mistake and happy to pay the fine.

Thanks, yes that makes sense. Weird to call them day fines, as I just assumed you get one fine per day

Presumably he would have issued 10 daily fines based on your numbers (did not check otherwise).joepublic wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2020 8:33 pmHey,
