Applying for visa with intention to get married

Hey everyone

Im planning to travel to Finland to get married to fiancé and apply for residence there

I got appointment in the embassy here to apply for visa

In the visa its clearly state that this is short visit and I have to come back
Actually visa applications now are suspended except for special case , my case is to visit my fiance

I was planning to get married to my fiance on march but because of corona I couldn’t travel , and my older visa got expired

Im afraid that my residence permit application will get refused because of that

Please give me your opinion

Many including me have come to Finland with short visa to get married and apply for rp, no worries. I am just not sure if now they approve visit visas. For the last few months Finland didn't allow foreigners to come in if only with visit visa, as I have heard.

Your schengen visa was issue by finnish embassy or other shengen country embassy ?
Do you have an idea which way is faster , applying from inside or outside?

About issuing visas yes its suspended now , only for essential cases they allow
Lately they consider relationships as essential case
