A concern

Post by Manu1991 » Thu Oct 15, 2020 6:18 pm

Hi ,

I have a concern. Actually I am applying for a spouse visa.
My husband has sent me papers of family ties. But my concern is that he has not filled the forms by himself. He got them filled from someone else, which means handwriting is not his own but he has certainly signed them.

I have heard that after my interview , my husband will get a paper full of questions ..which will have to answer and submit to immigration service. But he will be writing the answers now.

So my concern is .. handwriting in both the papers will be different ( but not signature of course). Kindly tell me is it a matter of concern.?
Will different handwriting create any problem?

Since when this has occurred to me ..i am really anxious. I don't want any delay.. or any issues.

Kindly answer if anyone knows..

Je can type them on a separate sheet to attach. The questions are not typically in the format of a form like the application. You can free from your answers on a separate sheet.

No one can say for sure. Yes, it could cause problems. Anything inconsistent in an application can do that. Will it though? No one can predict.

Why wouldn’t he be able to type them? Unless they specifically say something about response must be handwritten, I see no reason.

I have never heard of Migri using this format.

As far as I know, every person is allowed a representative or support. So, in this case, if your husband has had a person representing or supporting him, it is of no consequence. UNLESS the person has masqueraded as your husband, i.e. that would then be fraud.

As regards the handwriting, usually such thing should not be a concern. However, if they do indeed notice a discrepancy in the handwriting of all things, let your husband state it clearly that your husband required support and was assisted in filling the form. And do it in writing. So, this should not be a problem UNLESS your husband made a declaration that he has filled the form personally in his own hand OR the other person has not signed on behalf of him.

As such requesting support from another person to write/ fill a form is not an issue UNLESS the form requires it legally to be done by the individual, e.g. a signature.

Coming to the form, most forms are available for download on the Internet, look at the lower half of the form, if there is a name or a tag, you can find PDF forms on the Internet, that you can use on the computer.

So, in summary: UNLESS your husband has signed a declaration that he has personally filled the form, or another has masqueraded as your husband, I don't think it is an issue. If they do indeed ask, ask them to show you where it says external support is not allowed.
