Made a mistake

Post by Manu1991 » Thu Dec 17, 2020 7:16 pm

I made a mistake while providing the supplementary information. My engagement date was 20-01-2018 but while signing I could not notice that by mistake I had typed 20-01-2017 .

After a few hours , when I was rereading the documents than I came across this mistake. I immediately sent the documents again with correction to Enterfinland. Will they accept my information now? How will this affect my application.?

I am extremely concerned now... Please help and guide.

AFAIK, in Finland such typos are not considered criminal nor do they depreciate the value of your application.

Typographical errors happen, just highlight that it was a typo.

If you had not corrected it AND the error is the material basis for the application itself e.g. marriage, and the period of marriage is relevant to the decision. E.g. marriage to a Finnish citizen, and period that you have been married.

Should not be an issue.

But I am really concerned. I hope migri will not consider that I have provided wrong information. Because these were the questions which were asked from me.

If you immediately sent corrections then no problem.

Yes, I sent the corrections after a few hours because I was at my workplace when I sent the information. After returning home, I reread them ..then I came across this.
I guess after 7-8 hours..I sent them the corrections.

I do not what will happen now...

As I sent the corrections after 7-8 hours.. On the same day... How likely is it that it will impact negatively.?

Kindly shed some light..

It might even be possible that the corrections were booked into the system before the original application.
That could cause some confusion.

My message above was quite clear, this should not create an issue. Finland is quite appropriate, and way ahead of other countries in the processes and the laws. Mere errors, e.g. typographical errors etc. are not considered nor considered major in such processes.

Mere typos are NOT considered serious, since you have anyways corrected the information with an explanation.

So, I think you should stop worrying. As I said earlier, unless you were deliberately attempting to hide information that is relevant to the application, it should not be an issue.
