When you met the criteria getting citizenship with 4 years of living but you have lived 3 years 11 months now and they are gonna make decision in few days. Do you guys think it will be negative decision for 1 month or they will most likely excuse that 1 month gap?
Thanks in advance.

You mean they will not make negative decision for that reason?

I have similar situation. I have lived approx. 1.5 years on B and approx. 3 years on A, meaning in total approx. 3.8 years. Once I called them and they said if you have few months left to meet the requirements and you have valid residence permit, it is fine and you would not get negative decision just because couple of months less residence. I really hope me and you would get positive decisions.

Yes I hope so too. Let’s see how the decision will be. Fingers crossed.

It’s very frustrating. Mine is 11 month now and I’m expecting decision next week.
I've been waiting for more than 12 months

Has any of you contact them? What have they said? in which stage are you and since when? I'm in stage 2 for more than a month. My country is not on the list.
I wrote them an email to ask about a new processing time and they haven't even answered. It's so frustrating. They say you cannot call them to ask about your application but they don't answer the emails either... It's so frustrating. I waited one year to send that email and I got nothing.
Has any of you applied for extended RP or pysyvä during your citizenship application? As lady explained to me in the interview, if your RP expires during the application, you have to apply for the new one and the processing time of RP application will put your citizenship application processing on hold... so that could be one of the reason for the delay in case you applied for an extended RP.
Hey, thank you for your message. I actually received the answer by mail, and @maskara was probably right because I wrote to them in Swedish and they took a week to reply, for sure it's faster in Finnish. The lady told me that they will give me a decision as soon as my 4 years are completed by the end of this month. Apparently, my B residence period did not count at all because my residence period was interrupted.
I came to Finland for exchange 2013-2014 with a B permit and then came back to my home country for more than a year. Then I came back in 2016 and have lived here permanently since then. They gave me a B permit for the first year and A for the rest but since I interrupted the residence then none of the B periods count.

Great news. May I ask how long you still have to fulfill your 4 years?
Thanks

Nice, not too long. Did you get email when your application moved to stage 2?

Yep, I will write here in case of any updates. I did not get an email when I moved to stage 2. This was quite bad for me because I was constantly logging in to the system to check my status all the time (pretty much once a day every day for a year), instead of just waiting for an email.

I think as the Russian community in Finland is the biggest, Migri might have more personnels specialized in processing applications of Russian origin and as a result their documents will progress quicker
