Fortunately that’s not true. A citizenship application is only declined when there is extreme things like false identification or false documents, criminal record, fraud etc etc. Otherwise you will get positive decision regardless of how much processing time takes. Also when you look at the statistics, you will see that decline is very low.BomjaraSedoi wrote: ↑Mon Mar 22, 2021 6:36 pm.
I think if case without decision more than 8 months, that’s not good. Probably, all cases where pending period is over 7 months - it will be decline decision. Because the most of the lucky people got their decisions in 5-7 months

“Is very low” yeah, i hope so. But maybe all of those people overtime waiting. I don’t believe that there is a lot of people like we are.
Re: Citizenship Application 2021
Hello guys,
So I was going through Migri's statistics page: https://statistik.migri.fi/index.html#d ... 23331?l=en
They claimed that Citizenship Decisions made from 2/2020 - 3/2021 was in total 12,584 of which 9,619 were positive decision. So for those of us waiting for more than a year, how is it possible among the 12,584 decisions made, we are still waiting without decision? I believe even the day we visited Migri to prove our identity, if we have checked our queue number, none of us would have had a queue no. of 4k plus. The point I am trying to make is, either Migri is falsifying the numbers or there's something they are hiding. If you guys noticed, when you check the processing time checker, they no longer show number of applications in the queue unlike before. In August 2020, they were 3,947 applications in the queue. Decisions made from 8/2020 - 2/2021 in total were 6,921. So how come my application or yours was not among the 6,921 decisions made???
I believe one of the reason(s) they now stop showing how many applications in the queue is, people must have started asking questions as it doesn't make sense if Kamu chat box is showing you a queue number of 800 or less and in the last 3months you have not got a decision, then it doesn't make sense if number of decisions made by Migri is 5 to 6 times more than your queue no. and you're not among those who got the decisions. I think we need to collectively ask Migri for those waiting in this forum. People should not be scared to ask as we paid for this application, it is not a crime to ask, they can't give you negative decision or keep your application pending just because you asked for clarification which is part of your rights!

I have stopped checking processing time checker and kamu loong time ago. Because they mean nothing. Unfortunately Migri is under control of right wing party (persut). They are the ones sacked many workers and cut the budget as well. When the topic is about migrant, i dont think there is much to do. Because migrants are the last people they want.NaLeKoNa wrote: ↑Mon Mar 22, 2021 11:51 pmHello guys,

Re: Citizenship Application 2021
I have got an info today but I cannot say if it’s true or false. So don’t blame me.
According to that info, Migri has 4 queues for citizenship applications:
1- Russians
2- Middle East, Africa (Turkey, Azerbaijan and Iran included here)
3- Asia
4- EU and USA
Fastest queue is Russian, slowest Middle East-Africa. And processing time checker and kamu is symbolic (mandatory for Migri according to law).

Agree on the right wing mentality part. On top of that, they are rude and ill-mannered when being contacted about some issue.maskara wrote: ↑Tue Mar 23, 2021 12:44 amI have stopped checking processing time checker and kamu loong time ago. What country list are you talking about guys? Just got my YKI results and planning to apply ASAP.
Also question: how much do you need to talk at your visit? Are the questions difficult?

Thank you mate for your effort in keeping us updated with informations from your side. But if you ask me, I would not take information randomly without basis. Don't get me wrong it's appreciated that we share information here but it's only going to get us more confused and frustrated if we share every random information we hear from random sources because then we will end up with more misunderstandings than facts.maskara wrote: ↑Tue Mar 23, 2021 7:52 pmI have got an info today but I cannot say if it’s true or false. I strongly believe that the lines you mentioned cannot be true. Yes I assume too that migri has more lines than what they mention but lines based on nationality sounds impossible. Not every middle eastern has the same profile for example. and not every middle eastern country gives hard-to-identify documents. Some of my friends and I came from the same region but in different ways (studies, work, asylum). At the current moment, it makes sense how our queue numbers are moving. The ones who came without RP are the slowest and the ones that came here after getting RP and national assports are moving the fastest (that's ofc if the queue number's change speed tells how fast an application/line is moving).
I heard of reports of people from Africa and middle East getting their citizenship really fast or within the average time like any average application. Not even slightly slower.
The unfortunate side now is that Migris handling procedure remains as a mystery.......

In fact that info comes from a reliable source. He says migri is processing based on nationalities. There aren’t any Russians getting later than 5 months. I’m personally waiting 13 months now, still in stage 1 and I am coming from Europe. Also got RP before getting in the country. Have never had kela support and always paid my taxes. And my spouse is Finnish. And I just don’t understand how some people who have no work or family ties can get decision in 3 months but me waiting 13 months now. I’m from Switzerland btw
Re: Citizenship Application 2021
I think that source is not that reliable as I personally know several Russians who waited for more than 5 months, and know Europeans and Americans who waited less than 3 months. I myself wait for 5th month already and it’s still in stage 1maskara wrote: ↑Thu Mar 25, 2021 4:24 amMrpotatis wrote: ↑Thu Mar 25, 2021 2:00 amThank you mate for your effort in keeping us updated with informations from your side. I think it’s a waste of time to try to understand how decisions are handled over there. Just expect the worst and hope for the best

Re: Citizenship Application 2021
