Hi every one.
I would very appreciate if some one could shade some light.

Today at 10:00 am got and e-mail stating that my application went to second stage (processing).

As far as i have followed all the posts in here. Almost everyone got decision almost right away.

So my Question is, how long should i expect for receiving decision ?

Finally got a positive decision today. Nearly 18 months of waiting after my in person appointment. Queu number was 15XX before decision. Dual US and Canadian citizenship and a straightforward case with nothing that should have slowed down my application.

Good luck to everyone else still waiting.

Congratulations! Can you keep all 3 citizenships or you have to let go of one?

The reason I asked, I know someone he had UK, Pakistan, and he got Finnish citizenship. After 2/3 years he received a letter from Finnish authority asking him to choose 2 citizenship and give up one. He gave up his UK citizenship. Prior to this I used to think you can keep all citizenships as long as all countries involved recognize multiple citizenship. But his situation got me confused.

Someone told me that stage 2 takes 2 weeks, it might take longer in this holiday season when so many are on holiday. My application went to stage 2 last week.

Well, I got to stage 2 on 16th June and still, nothing has happened. So I think it's not rare.

I was thinking the other day, what if the person who is processing your application goes on a month-long holiday? What then? I guess we just have to wait. I also think megri makes these inquiries, and if many are on holiday in the corresponding office then the inquiries also take longer.
