Is rde.fi legit?

Post by rio » Sat Aug 17, 2019 12:05 am

They seem to have quite lower prices for the electronics than the other Finnish stores, is it a legit Finnish store? Or are they like ebay sellers shipping from China or somewhere from abroad?

because they are based in Estonai who are using .fi besides their native .eedomain.
Just click on Yhteystiedot to get the address information and go to google maps and street view.

How legit they are when it comes to products, post and warranty? Personally no experience. Others may jump in.

Legit store for sure, but not Finnish. They do seem to do better than many others as they have registered in Finland too and have customer service in Finnish and Finnish phone number. They don't seem to do warranty stuff (and that is fine by me, I also prefer to deal directly with manufacturer instead of seller).

RDE.FI is legit store, and I have bought from there and am very happy. Prices are half of what you pay in Gigantti or other expensive stores. You get receipt for your purchase that says exactly how much the product costs, how much you pay for VAT etc. etc.

Postage is via Postti (post office, you just go and pick your stuff after you get SMS on your phone). I think they can even deliver to your door (depending what you choose). I prefer delivery to post office because when you live in a house I don't want someone to steal my electronics from my porch.

According to EU law as an EU citizen you are free to buy whatever you want from other EU countries merchants. Another cheap website with dirt cheap prices on electronics compared to overpriced Gigantti is 'extreme digital', but they are based in Hungary so Postage might take a bit longer. :)

and now something funny:

After placing and paying for the order, they did not send a confirmation of this by e-mail. After the shipment of the goods - also not reported. Although when I wrote to the support service, they answered that they had sent an email about it. But, of course, they did not forget to send an advertising mailing list.

When I did receive the parcel number, I saw that Posti had not received it yet, although several days had passed since the shipment.

To get the order number, parcel number and delivery time from customer support, I had to write them several letters. Well, just in case, she requested confirmation of payment, but already in the support of the payment system ...

In the end, I was not even sure that my order would still come. In addition, there are a lot of negative reviews about them - that parcels are lost, that low-quality goods arrive, that I ignore questions, etc. I actually thought they were scammers. But, nevertheless, they still sent me a package. I hope everything is ok and exactly what I ordered...

Anyway, I won't order from them again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

they lie that the package was shipped. According to the information on the Posti website, my package has not yet been handed over to them!
That's expected if they deliver from Estonia or some other country, Posti will only know about the package when it arrives in Finland.
