Hold multiple EU country permits?

Post by maxtron22 » Mon Aug 15, 2022 7:59 pm

Hi everyone!

I am a Non-EU person currently working in Finland(after completing masters) with an A type permit(expiry date end of 2024).

I might be getting a job offer soon from a company in Netherlands. So, my question, is it possible to hold permits of 2 EU countries?

Let's say in the worst case scenario, I get kicked out of job from Netherlands during probation within 3 months, would it be possible to come back to Finland and find job? Or will Migri cancel my permit as soon as I start working in Netherlands?

Thank you and looking forward!

It is. However, you need to notify DVV about moving to the Netherlands. Migri can cancel the permit since the reasons don’t exist any more but they are not required to. The cancellation process would not become final in three months given how long the appeals processing takes.

I suppose you need a permit to workin in NL too. Do you know how long that permit process takes and do they ask anything about currently held permits? https://ind.nl/en/residence-permits/work

Visa is for visiting, Residence Permit for residing.
