Hi all!

Finally I can share positive experience: yesterday I got a demand in additional information. I forgotten to indicate 2 my trips outside EU (work trip and vacation) in 2019. So I answered them, that I made a mistake when indicating time for one trip and forgotten to mention the other one and I sent them this information yesterday. Today I was checking my number in the line and in the migri chat i got a message that they have no information about the number and probably i have the decision in my profile, which indeed i did. So I got my positive decision today, after applying in November, 2021-).

Also may be it will be interesting, that I had not perfect situation: I had a temporary job contract, no Finnish spouse and my YKI was 3-3-3-2. Came here in 2014, working in the Helsinki University from 2014, but each time it was a temporary job contract which was my biggest concern. So I had the sequence of job contracts from HY and my current one expires 30 of December 2022. Country is also not perfect given the current situation...

Good luck to everyone, thank u for support and the possibility to whine a bit on this forum, and I am really sorry for these who waits so long! I do not know, if it affected, that I called them or not. May be it could be useful to call them.

Time to share the good news too. Got the positive decision on 25.8 No texts from Migri whatsoever, I checked the status myself on 26th.
Applied in March 2021, proved the identity in April 2021 with queue number at the beginning 47xx. Updated payslips and travel info a couple of times. It went to a processing stage at the beginning of July'22 and stayed there for almost 2 months they asked again for the additional info (payslips, travel, and new passport since the old one got expired). The queue number in the end was around 15xx.
Came to Finland in 2015 as a student, A-permit since 2018, worked ever since. Country not on the list. Long processing stage felt frustrating, but patience is the key. Good luck to everyone waiting!

Mine also went into the processing stage 6th of July and was resolved only 26 of august (questions about travel came on 25 of...) May be our applications were just assigned to officer, who went on vacation? However I did a rude mistake, forgotten to indicate a non-EU trip and they noticed it when contacted boarding guard...May be in your case it was a passport? ...but everything ended well...

They didn't explain anything and I didn't ask for an explanation:) no mistakes in info, additional docs were sent in the middle of July. Then I went on vacation and asked them to hold on, and maybe then the officer also had a vacation:D

Ok. Congrats! Im happy that you got a positive decision after 1,5 years of waiting. It is giving me hope. I still have to wait 5 more months

Has anyone received a new residence permit card recently? How long (in exact days) did it take the card to arrive after the decision?

When I applied last April 2021-not exactly recently I guess-it took about 3 months.

I renewed my took 1 week.

If you mean residence permit A, it took us a couple of weeks to get it. The process was super fast. If you mean permanent residence permit, I have no idea. Planning to apply myself for it in October. I have a pending citizenship application.

That is great to hear! It looks like things are moving at a much more sensible speed now at migri.

Today I got a positive decision ,I proved my identity on the 5 of November last year. queue number was 4300.
decision came in the morning , only got a message that a decision was made , no questions or anything .I had sent an email to expedite processing .a couple of weeks ago. Country not on the list. of north African /Arabian decent I was on a Permanent permit Senior Engineer at public tech company
