At least if you check new processing time it says 7 - 16 months so yours might come latest November if they respect that and does not change the time soon :D :D
This processing time is only approximation. It can be changed even tomorrow if they want to do it. Lady in service point told me that my waiting period can be up to 18 month long. So I don't know if those numbers mean anything at all. For example, my friend got decision in 7 months, what is 2 times shorter than my current waiting period.
According to migri's website as of today (2022-09-22): "Expected processing time for application 7-26 months." So, not sure where the 16 mentioned above is coming from.
Check the kamu chatbox processing time or enter your detail here https://migri.fi/en/check-the-processin ... pplication. Unless it is mistake from them but it is mentioned there 7 - 16 months. There are 2 processing time if you have valid passport and came with residence permit it is 7- 16 months otherwise it is 24 - 26 months.

I checked my study info today and found that migri has checked my data on 15.9.2022 at 14.02
Does anyone know what does that mean :D :D :D ?
My application moved stage 2 after they checked my studyinfo 1 month later it moved stage 2.
Ok nice that sounds like good sign :) :D but yours has been in stage 2 for long then
Looks like they open the file but does not move to stage 2 until they finish some checking
It has been 3 weeks stage 2 but when it has moved stage 2 I inform them I have vacation 2 weeks. I came back on holiday 21 09.22 sent them emails via to enterfinland stamps act.

I have checked today out of curiosity too. The website says the processing of citizenship application takes approximately 24-26 months. So hopefully by 2024 I’ll get my decision 😆

It’s not same for everyone depending on how you ended to Finland. If customers has passport and residence permit. It’s at the moment 7-16. Those who can’t be identified approximately 24-26.

Yes, for people who came without passports/visas/residence permits (e.g. refugees) they take extra long to do background and security checks I think.

I waited for mine in stage 2 one month and a half! Was quite stressed cause i had temporary job contract and i am from belarus which sided with rusdia during the war. But it went well and their only concern was that i forgotten to mention 1 outside of eu trip and they granted citizenship when i sent the explanation. I think they check applications for trips abroad randomly at least this can cause stage 2 for 1 month...have the best luck with yours! 1 month stage 2 waiting is stressful and more exausting than 8 month stage 1 waiting... but is pretty normal i would say not abnormal :D

Apparently there are two options that I hadn’t noticed earlier: citizenship application and determination of citizenship status. The first option gave the estimate of 24-26 months, second one 3-21 months. Kinda confused which option is applicable in my case. Not a refugee or asylum seeker. Came initially with type B as a dependent.

If it’s B as a student same algorithm go as a Pakistan India
trust in the documents of those country is low. There no data exchange to verify to costumer. Country on the list is the waiting 24-26 Migri is not mentioning the country on the list at the moment but those people are intelligent people so deep searching.

Yes, you are right. 24-26 months is given for third world countries and 7-16 for applicants from EU.

From this very email, I don’t think your application will move to stage 2 before getting a decision. I believe after providing Migri with the informations they asked for. Your application will automatically move to stage 3 (decision is ready). I’m saying this because my friend got the same email in stage 1 and got decision in two weeks without moving to stage 2

No mail, no call...on last friday of august they asked me for trip info by mail. I responded the same day. Then i was checking my queque number in the chat next day and there was a message that they cannot show me number cause probably there is a desision so i logged with bank account and there it was. Seems many ppl had same experience - mail only about additional info, decision only log in!
