Because they have costs to cover regardless of the test result and they are a business.

People who have license but fail to know the rules pay even more than 50e... consider it as a cheap reminder.

"Only permitted to make 8 mistakes". Right. If you ask me, allowing someone who gets more than 10 % wrong on the theory exam to get behind the wheel of a car is just wrong. The questions are simple enough, at least they were when I took my test.

The question you should be asking is "Why do I keep failing the test?".

But not eight of them! Even one mistake on the road could cost your life or someone else their life.

guys you don't understand,I have studied two Driving Lessons Book..2002 and 2010 editionpthere is absolutely no road sign and road regulations am not familiar with...sometimes the answers are quite different from reality..because you have the right of way dosent mean that should make you foolhardy on the road and put ur life in danger..soemtimes you giv way to pedestrian becos u want to be lenient..it goes on and on..funny how this may sound, but i saw ,two pictures after the test that i didnt even see when i was writing the test..can u explain that? i want to beleive that its a business..becos if it wasnt, tell me why will dey take cash from you after paying once, what is wrong in giving you another appointment time to write the test "if you fail" without second payment...I have drove in finland even without my licence and i know the rules and regulatiion on the road..

It's not a matter of belief, it's stated right on their homepage, they are a subsidiary of A-katsastus (a British-owned private company), contracted by Trafi to provide driving license exams.

Getting caught will get you a fine and possibly also a delay in getting a license in the first place.

They should put them in jail for min. a year, those driving without license. See what it brings you if an idiot like that runs into you. No insurance and you can pay everything yourself.

Yes those driving without licence should be purnished severely... And those with licence should be sent to mental hospital for a minimum of one year if they disobey traffic rules and regulation...becos y d hell will they do that after taking theory and practical test?

So this is the only country in the world where the insurance pays out if the driver of the vehicle is not allowed to drive the car? Why bother to get drivers licence then? The fine is not that high.

Agreed, about the fine. You'll need to get nabbed multiple (as in tens of) times before the courts take your car as tool of crime. It has happened, but IMHO it should happen much sooner. Also the insurance company might have some claims after it has paid.

Does anybody experienced failing in the driving test where the instructor deliberately n suddenly in the normal very low speed situation wants to touch the steering for a while and fails the application driver by mentioning this situation?
I suppose instructors are human and they are not 100 out of 100. They have also anger, feelings like us and they can also misuse their power. BUT who will tell it just for asking I might be fined for 50e :D
