They did nothing.
I think they want foreigners in Finland so they keep fear mongering their base , and blame foreigners for everything going wrong in Finland.

I disagree. The conjuncture is pretty different now. Their moderate wing got purged mainly due to that inactivity during the refugee wave. Currently, the party is led by a radical faction, and they will want to show people that they can achieve something in this issue. I think that Finland is on its way to tightening immigration and citizenship policies following other Nordic countries such as Denmark and Sweden. At a minimum, I expect an increase in the residency time requirement for citizenship.

I agree with esimerkki in the sense that populist parties actually need immigrants around to put the blame on when governance is not going well. However, the are always going to be immigrants around ( the ones already here) and they can just as easily put the blame on them.

But I also agree with you. A number of European countries are going right ( I mean let’s not pretend the left haven’t had their own flaws) which also means that there surely will be tightening of immigration policies.

It’s not all bad that more conservatives are being voted into power, however. For a group whose main say for every problem is “the immigrants”, one could confidently say that they aren’t going to do anything significant to change the fortunes of the people and hopefully the people will see them for the who they are.

My quene number moved backwards... last Friday it was 6210, and today it is 6212 I think I will stop checking the queue number for a while as it brings burden to me

If I remember correctly from old posts, the queue number stops moving or moves very slowly when you are about to move to stage 2.

Hahaha Migri is making us all fool . My queue had been moving slowly for the past 6 months about 20 - 25 a week. Still in stage 1 so I would say it is just coincidence
