Hello, I think east asians are fairly well-accepted in Finland (Finns are almost asian themselves  ). Finding a job can be hard in some areas but perhaps you might be able to run your own business.

But we have to work 12-15 hours per day.
That is usual when you own a business, also in Helsinki.

That’s true and it’s a good question . People say Finns is a stressless country , I don’t how trust it is ? I understand any country have their different trouble . I wish I can work hard to my work and more passion to my jobs .

I feel surprise , many restaurant open 6 days in Helsinki. How’s running a restaurant or cafe in Helsinki ? The rent is too high ? too hard to recruit ? no new customer ?

On what basis will you you apply for a Finnish Residence Permit?

The normal reasons are:
- a spouse already in Finland, or
- having been accepted at a Finnish university, or
- a job offer from a company in Finland.

I am going to try to work in Finland for 4 years and pass the language test .

I won’t say Hong Kong is a bad place . Finland is not a place which I can escape .

When i was 32 years old , I wondering life it’s only for money or something ? If you live in Hong Kong , I believe you can hear people always taking share , car , watch, apartment…….I just tried to talk about these .

What i know Finland , I hear Finns people spend more time doing what they want to do , rather than thinking make more money to buy luxury to show off how they are success. :?

Btw ,I am planning come to travel Finland on May.
Im really want to know more about Finns , hope guys can share me more . Kittos.

Finland is not a stress-free country. The stresses are perhaps different from those in Hong Kong. It is however true that people do not typically talk about how much money they have or what car they drive etc.. There are some people who do that but most people do not care about showing off with such things.

This is mostly trure. And even many who are wealthy don't really like to show-off.

Do you know anyone here who run a restaurant and look for a HK chef? Specialist permit doesn't apply to F&B, so you need a job from an employer who can prove to TE they cannot find qualified employee from within Finland and EU. It's possible but difficult and the process of application can take 1-2 years, with some chance of failure. After which you'd be granted a continuous permit for the same type of job (not locked to the first employer), and then permanent if you keep a job after 4 years (temporary unemployment is okay and with full benefits).

Or, if you have a bachelor degree of anything, you may apply to study master here, in English, but after graduation you'd still need a valid job or self-employment to stay (back to the process above).

PS: You might also consider Sweden. Rules are less strict there.

They're okay with it but most popular places are absolutely horrid. So the standard is basically zero, if not negative.
