Where were the Netherlands again at the last World Cup?
I remember the germans singing "ohne Holland, fahren wir zur WM"

Holland´s dilemna is that they have a whole bunch of stars all over the field but no real team.
You can be sure that sooner or later they will start to attack each other again. Most of the time its sooner

But I know you're correct. All the people who support "oranje" know this too and are scared to death about it. With Holland it's all or nothing...

You're missing the point this has nothing to do with the German or Dutch team as such
it is a tradition to do these kind of things before the game

Or like that commercial that I saw on Dutch television the past days.
I wasn't able to dig it up from the internet so fast, but it goes like this:

Two Holland-fans are walking down the street, one holding a microphone or something alike.
Along comes a guy taking a walk with a German shepperd. The dutch guy with the mic asks the guy walking the dog: is that a GERMAN shepperd?
The guy with the dog nods in confirmation.
The guy with the mic takes the mic up and stuffs it almost in the ear of the dog and starts shouthing "HOLLAND, HOLLAND".

Very "flauw", but rather funny

Great first half from Germany. You could barely see the dutch players.
But then they decided to stay in their own half and wait for the final whistleblow, which worked quite badly.
So this was the much famed dutch team with all its stars which cant get over a draw vs. a medium team (at least in the last 45 minutes)?
Ok, 2 candidates for the title of EC to get off my list.

The Dutch team has been playing like a bunch of grandads ever since the Champion team of 1988 retired. They have yet to re-earn the title of *famous team*.
I don't think any well-thinking (Dutch) person believes that this team could win the championship. Not after the things they've shown the past decade.
Sometimes they actually do play like the famous team (home against Scotland, 6-0, for example), but most of the times their play is just a sorry excuse for soccer.
As sorry as I am to say that, being Dutch, but that's the way it is.

I think the Dutch coach should really consider putting players in the team that are fresh and motivated instead of the multi-millionaires playing in England and Spain and Italy, who come only to pick up another extra bonus for playing for the national team.

PS I put 2-2 for Germany-Netherlands in the bet. How optimistic was I?

Are the Dutch guys (or anyone else for that matter) going somewhere to watch Netherlands play the Czech Republic on Saturday?

Jut out of curiosity, how many times did Wurms grab Nisterooy's shirt in the penalty area? Man, that was some serious dirty stuff going on all the time.
If Van Nisterooy's had a share of Sweden Ljumberj's [edit] theatrical [/edit] talent he'd been awarded 2 or 3 penalty kicks

Great audience that orange one, I was suprised to find that the game was being played at Dragão's stadium (Porto), not Benfica's (they are supposed to have red seats). At first I thought there were a lot of empty seats
