Actual processing times?

Post by fisher_man » Tue Feb 14, 2023 10:33 am

Hi everyone,

I have applied for RP based on start-up entrepreneurship. Estimated processing time is about 1-2 months. The stage is still waiting for processing. I have checked the queue number through Kamu-bot and for one month waiting the queue only goes up. It is only about 40 applications before me, but it doesn't go down. I have proved my identity about one month ago. Is everything goes normal?
I'm asking, because some of my friends applied for the same RP 2-3 months ago and got their decision on the second day (and it wasn't fast track service, they also applied from Finland).
Since the queue number doesn't go down, do they really process applications by date of receipt, and not by type?
Thanks.

Different types have different queues that are processed separately, that's why you won't be waiting 9 months for a decision like a spouse of a Finnish citizen.

Thanks, but looks strange that during the month the queue doesn't go down. Looks like that nobody process this type of applications.

My queue position is still don't moving. Is it normal? Looks like nobody process this type of applications.
I wouldn't worry if the queue moved slowly down every week but it goes only up a little.
Can I write to migri email and ask them if everything is OK and my application is not lost? Or it could be done only after the estimated processing time will end?
Thanks.

About two weeks ago I received request for additional information and I have sent reply more than one week ago. Does anybody know how much time usually it takes for Migri to make a decision after reply on the request?
Thanks

Well I just love your proactiveness. Sweet that everything went well on your side.
May I ask if there were any, so to say, side effects with such approach towards migri?

From any governmental service?

Has anyone applied the extended permit based on family ties lately? Currently the approx. waiting time stands at 6 months. I remember the estimated time was 2 months for the extended permit only a year or two ago. Can it really take six months? Been waiting almost a month now and I haven't even received a diary number yet (identity proven with the strong verification system so didn't visit a service point). Goodbye abroad trips during my summer vacation then...

As we hear from most people, maximum processing times are applied or even delayed due to the high amount of applications. We have been waiting for a permit for 10 months.

I also had applied on same basis, and received decision after 50 days from proving identity. when it reached around 30 it was not moving at all, then one day I received email for supplementary request, 7 days after supplementary I received negative decision. Hope you got the positive you cans share your personal experience in msg.
