Re: Applying for Citizenship 2024
i think it will be updated soon, if they are still processing the May 2022 applications, then 23 months is quite logical. I remember few years ago the processing time was 24 months for "normal" applications. the lowest i have seen in 11 years of being in Finland was 17 months.kriffer wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2024 5:04 pmInterestingly that chatbot still gives 6-21 months for "general"just_passing_by wrote: ↑Tue Mar 12, 2024 8:13 pmMigri have updated estimated processing times at https://migri.fi/kasittelyaikalaskuri:

I have to say, you are missing an incredible important part in the "How Finns solve problems.."karhu86 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2024 5:01 pmMuch expected, and it will keep on stacking with the total applications applied weekly higher than the processed ones. Migri has to either employ more people or change the way they process applications. I am sure more statistics and analysis are done in this forum than in Migri"s headquarters. But as i said before, how do Finns solve problems: have a meeting, drink coffee and extend the processing time...just_passing_by wrote: ↑Tue Mar 12, 2024 8:13 pmMigri have updated estimated processing times at https://migri.fi/kasittelyaikalaskuri:

Re: Applying for Citizenship 2024
I have actually seen migri hiring new employees with code red; but those positions were starting of May 24. It might be just summer holiday replacements but one might foresee that the backlog will be catastrophic if the number of new applications do not drop during the summer while 90% of migri goes on summer holidays.

Great to hear so. What was your queue number when it moved to stage 2? I applied end of October and would love to hear.jcsmartin wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2024 3:46 pmHey, quite many. I applied end of September and my application moved to the second stage this Monday and I’m now waiting for the decision. It was around 55** . But you should follow your diary number as that’s how they are looking. user justpassingby shares very valuable data here which helped me predict the exact week it was gonna be my turn.jokulalala wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2024 7:44 amGreat to hear so. Re: Applying for Citizenship 2024
Those who applied in 2022, what is your dairy number (the first one)?
I have 10xxx/310/2022
Looks like it is more important than a queue number

Thanks a lot. Mine was 81xx in Oct and now fall to 58xx in Mar. I did follow my queue every day (haha sound a funny morning habit) and build some sorts of excel modeling to predict myself, using recent experience by people.jcsmartin wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2024 11:07 amIt was around 55** . Does the diary number ( the first part ) change during the process? like going down or up ?jcsmartin wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2024 11:07 amIt was around 55** . If you mean the number like xxxxx/310/202x, then it should be the same during the process.applicant2024 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2024 11:51 amDoes the diary number ( the first part ) change during the process? like going down or up ?jcsmartin wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2024 11:07 amIt was around 55** . Re: Applying for Citizenship 2024
This week most of the applications that are being processed are between 12000 and 12150 with queue numbers between 5200 and 5500. So if your queue number is 58**, then I estimate your turn will come in 3-5 weeks.jokulalala wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2024 11:50 amThanks a lot. Mine was 81xx in Oct and now fall to 58xx in Mar. My queue number today is 5876, so I kinda on the same boat
