Wow! This seem to be the lowest processed. What could be the reason for this?

Hey guys,
I have a very random question that I am working normally, and waiting for citizenship decision. I got a school offer from ammattikorkeakoulu, in this case do i need to change my A -working visa to B-student visa or just I could work and study at same time. Any insight, thanks a lot! :?
It depends on the kind of working permit that you have. If you still fulfill all requirements for the work permit (e.g., you are working full time), no need for another permit. You can study on the side. If the details changed and you don't meet all the requirements anymore, then yes you need to change it.

We're in the same boat. The knowledge here seems to be to not panic until 3 weeks have passed since you moved to In Progress.
Hello, any update on your case buddy?
I'm still waiting (In Process stage).
Still no update. Exactly 2 weeks have passed since we moved to In Progress. I'll start panicking after next week Friday 😄
Well, still nothing.

Got to be one of the lowest numbers in recent time. Is it due to holiday season??

just waiting to receive an email titled “You’re served with a new decision” sender noreply@migri 🥲

Yesterday I have seen some people who waited 7 months in stage 2 despite having a valid residence permit.

Oh no, seen irl? Did they move to stage 2 after 5-6 months like the usual faster track people or have they been in the first stage quite long as well?

Most likely. Since May 1 fell on a Wednesday, people are likely to have taken Monday/Tuesday or Thursday/Friday off as well.

This coming week, with Thursday being a holiday, people are likely to take Friday off.

Processing should pick up after that and into June, then slow to a crawl in July.

Thanks for MCS and your advice. I also sent an email to mirgi for more clarification.

I have talked with two different persons, who waited 30 months now and still the first stage... It gets scarier.

I think if the case prolongs to this extent. the persons can bring the case to the administrative court.
The applicant has paid 460 EUR for his application to be processed within the maximum time Migri has set.
so making you wait 30 months is clear a violation of the terms of the payment.

Well, there is no maximum time set in law. Migri provided time ranges are just estimates based on last 3 months' statistics. Those are expected processing time, not a promise.

Yes but if the application prolongs to very long extent there should be a grounds to file a court case. And it happened many times with applicants concerning different types of residence permits and in some cases the court ruled in favor of the applicant.
The applicant has paid 460 EUR for his application to be processed (Doesn't matter if the decision is positive or negative). 30 months waiting time is totally unreasonable. and can be considered the migri didn't fulfil its obligation to process the application.
if they can make an applicant wait 30 months. it's possible that they can make other applicants wait 89 months in the future.

A friend of mine who works at Migri, told me that if a citizenship application stays in stage 2 without asking for additional information and the applicant has ( passport, valid residence permit, and his identity is checked ) then the reason for putting the application on hold could be most probably one of these reasons:

1- Migri wants to check the travel history of the applicant based on border guards data. They send a request to the border guards and they wait the response. This process could take several days or weeks. This happens usually when Migri suspects that the applicant didn’t report all his travel history.
2- Migri is waiting another clarification from third party about the applicant ( in most cases something from the applicant’s home country )
