However, I finally received my citizenship and I just wanted to create an account to give you all a very big thank you. The information and the discussions that you've provided in this forum have been extremely helpful, and it also really helped my mental health a to know that I'm not the only one going through this difficult waiting time and I'm not alone.
Also a special thank you to just_passing_by for providing that data every week. It was immensely helpful to calculate when I would arrive at the "sweet spot" and prepare myself for it. As you are all aware, the worst thing is the "unknown", as the lack information and not knowing what to expect can really drive someone crazy. The information that you provided really helped that. So thank you.
I will drop some information about my application to help you all with the info.
Visited the service point in mid November 2023.
Got the diary number 14xxx.
Queue number at the time of application was about 8xxx.
Don't know the queue number at the time receiving the decision because Kamu isn't working.
Home country not on the list.
I hope you all get your decisions soon!

Re: Applying for Citizenship 2024
Hi,
I have a question regarding my citizenship application. I have applied for citizenship and provided all information, including my employment contract (where I am working already many years) and it was a full-time contract. But one year ago I agreed with my employer to work part-time (but he didn't provide me with a new contract so for migri I showed old contract, we agreed that I could come to full time anytime). When I applied for citizenship I didn't provide my payslips, just a contract (also I don't get any benefits). Do you think I should provide payslips even though my salary now is not big as I don't work full time? Or is it better to wait if migri requests it?
I don't know if there is a salary requirements or minimum income requirements. As I came to Fin to study Master and after I found a job in an office (but not regarding my major).
And do you think I should notify migri that I am working part time at the moment?

"Due to technical problems, our chatbot Kamu is unable to answer questions about an application's place in the processing queue.
The queue place function is out of use until further notice. You can still ask Kamu questions despite the queue place function being out of order. We will inform website users once the function is back in use again.
The processing of applications will continue normally even when the queue place function is out of use.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to check your application’s position in the processing queue by contacting our customer guidance service by phone or by email. Please use your Enter Finland accountLink to an external website to follow the processing of your application. You can also use the Processing Time Checker to check the expected processing time of your application"
It seems migri is finally taking away the queue number checking part of kamu. As someone rightly mentioned here earlier, they might be doing that due data mining to prevent people from making predictions and analysis.

Unlike PR and RP, regular income is not an prerequisite for citizenship application.hello andy wrote: ↑Thu May 30, 2024 1:53 pmHi,

Re: Applying for Citizenship 2024
It's more likely that the application was just sitting in a pile for a long time instead of being actively investigated for 2,5 years. Everyone including refugees is entitled to processing without undue delay. I encourage everyone with multi year processing times to make a complaint here:

Re: Applying for Citizenship 2024
Such a disgusting thing to say. Do you know why he didn’t have a national passport? Not all asylum seekers can get a national passport. How did you know he’s pretending to be a refugee??? I think the state needs to protect us from people like you who look down on others because of their life situations. I see many refugees who integrate well into Finnish society, often better than people like you. Some learn the language and culture within a year and even join the army. As a Finn, I’m really surprised to see immigrants hating on other immigrants.

In the 2023 thread I have shared with you that I have sent a complaint to the Oikeuskansleri about the processing times (back then I was 15 months waiting). So today I have got the decision from them that says that Migri has assigned my application to the “demanding” queue based on the fact that my trips abroad and their impact on the time lived should be considered better. However, Oikeuskansleri has decided, that
anything came out of this or no results still?
Re: Applying for Citizenship 2024
Hi! Nothing tbh, no results … They don’t have any power to FORCE Migri to solve the issue quicker, they just guide the principle of good administrationbroccoli wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2024 9:18 amHey,mamutti wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2024 11:16 amHi guys

Re: Applying for Citizenship 2024
I came as a student with a B residence permit! So, hopefully it will be one more month, as original schedule was in February (last summer, they told me that it would take 18 months, then 20 month, then 21 and now 23). Maybe next months, maybe they will change the time again to 24-25 months
Re: Applying for Citizenship 2024
Hi,
I would like to know if someone has experienced something similar to my case. While filling out my application, I spelled my father's name wrong. I added a letter at the end of his name by mistake. I sent an "additional information" message clarifying the mistake right away and requesting migri to correct this. Now ever since I applied two months ago in March, I have been wondering if that could be a reason if my application could end up in the "slow queue"? Or am I just worrying for no reason? If anyone has had similar issues or experience, could you share if this affected your application in any way or if there a way to rectify this mistake yet, i.e. call migri to inform of this mistake so this can be already fixed in the system manually?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Applying for Citizenship 2024
I had the same issue, i made a mistake in filling the travel information. i sent them the correct form in "additional information" and i contacted migri and they said they have received it. but i always wonder do they really relay on the data provided by applicants. i mean traveling data is super easy to get from the border guards system, and in your case your father's name is not mentioned in any registry in Finland. So seriously how much this information will really affect your application?ehab101 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2024 5:03 pmHi,
