In years prior, was it so that June was normal processing productivity and July was the slow month?

I remember that the last 2 years, June was one the most productive month, and July was the least productive one. You can double check on mirgi statistic. I think that soon around this month, we will heard more news of 2023 applications.

And hopefully those of us who have been waiting since 2022 can add to the good news!

Hi, everyone!
I haven’t been active here (posted one message only) but I have been following this tooic for last couple of months.

I just wanted to share that I got positive decision yesterday. I had been waiting for it since last year July — so, it took ~11 month. My wife, who applied in December, got decision yesterday as well. We came from Russia in 2018. I’d say our case is quite ordinary, except last 2 years probably when we had a lot of doubts if it was gonna be the same process for us or not.

Hopefully you all will get your decisions soon. Good luck!

Congratulation...
When exactly your wife received the diary number and what was the diary number?

I have sent a email to Migri asking about my application status they answer me with this email :

Does this means that it’s confirmed that I have to wait 23 month and that I won’t have an answer before that ?? I have applied the 1/10/2023 .

She got diary number in December — don’t remember exact day, and don’t remember number. But I don’t think it’s relevant because our applications were coonected.

Sorry to rain on your parade, but migri's estimate is probably close to what will happen. I applied in August 2022, and according to migri's online checker, I can expect a decision on my application by mid-July, so around the 23-month mark.

If you're not planning to travel anytime soon I would simply not apply for a residence permit for the baby. In fact if you are planning to travel you can obtain an alien passport instead. According to Migri, your residence is legal as long as you have a pending application (RP or citizenship). If you are also traveling in the Nordics, your baby's birth certificate from DVV is enough for airlines. There's a decent chance that your application won't take more than 6 months.
