Hello everyone,
I have a couple of questions related to the resident permit on the basis of intimate relationship. I can provide almost all of the information they asked for in this application except the few points that are kind of making me confused. Me and this person from Finland have been talking online for around 6 months. The only possible way for us to unite in Finland seems to be under the "other grounds" application. So, I need some help before applying for this.
1. It says on imigri that you have to have an "established relationship", can anyone explain what an established relationship is, and does that mean there's no chance if you never met before? So, I shouldn't even bother with this application?
2. This person have some medical issues so it's hard for them to visit me here. Does that can be used as a "weighty reason" in the written attachment to have better chances?
I would really appreciate any help regarding these points. Thank you.

Why aren't you visiting on a normal visa?Sib wrote: ↑Thu May 23, 2024 2:53 amI have a couple of questions related to the resident permit on the basis of intimate relationship. Re: RP on the basis of intimate relationship
I have this visa.
1. Established relationship means that you've displayed some form of commitment to each other. I made a PDF of the journey of my relationship showing little milestones, images of chat history, photos of us on video cam and in person. I can't say whether they would issue you a permit based on whether you have met or not, but on a personal level I would highly recommend meeting in person before making a commitment like this.
2. Medical reasons won't be a weighty reason. Weighty reason is usually things like one of you is pregnant by the other and so you need to live together for the wellbeing of the child.

Visit your partner in Finland using Schengen visa (or visa free if you’re from those countries). Apply for intimate rp while inside Finland.Sib wrote: ↑Thu May 23, 2024 2:53 amHello everyone,
