Hello,
I'm moving to Finland soon and i wanted to get some official Finnish apartment renting websites that aren't the ones that google gives me when i google in english, because I'm pretty sure 3000 euros per month for a bed with a toilet next to it is ridiculous. I'm moving to Porvoo, with my girlfriend, we're looking for something small, actually anything that has a seperate bedroom and a kitchen.
What is the averages utilities cost for say a 50m² apartment in Finland?

Moving to Porvoo and seeking a separate bedroom and kitchen? Check out Vuokraovi.com and Oikotie.fi for more reasonable rental options than what Google might show in English. For utilities in a 50m² apartment, expect around 50-100 euros for electricity, with water typically included or around 20-30 euros if not, and heating costs varying based on the system and season.

50-100€ for electricity requires taking a sauna every day. In apartments heating is usually included in the rent.TobyAdam wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2024 5:27 pmMoving to Porvoo and seeking a separate bedroom and kitchen? Try checking out Vuokraovi.com or Oikotie.fi. They're popular among locals and often have more reasonable listings than what Google throws at you in English. As for utilities, for a 50m² place, you might budget around 100-150 euros per month on average, but it can vary based on heating, location, and how eco-friendly the building is.

Hello,
The main page to look for apartments i etuovi.com (unfortunately is only finnish through the google translate works ok). This page contains all the apartments from all pages mentioned before.
I used to rent an apartment from a company called SATO. I am not sure if it is listed on etuovi or if it has apartments in Porvoo.
For the utilities I can tell that without warm water or heating the electricity for me living in 76 sq m apartment is about 50 euros. The water which is "central manageed" is for 2 people about 50 euros per month. If you have a electric sauna I am not sure.
The very important issue is the heating. If it is electric you are scre***d, if it is central it is included in the rent.
In Espoo I lived into a 45 sq m apartment paid about 970 euros which included the heating so quite good deal. If the rent is a separate house without heating you have electricity, petrol or heat pumps, but most often is not included in the rent.
Lots talking, but just ask about the heating and water fees before signing any contract.
