Current Average Processing Times for Spouse of Finnish Citizen RP. NON-EU
Hello! I would like to know what's the current average processing time for that? I know every individual case is different but if for example some people could share their's it would be helpful!
Especially for people who applied through the online service

I am applying from abroad. But I'm still waiting to visit the mission for identification later in August. How about you?
Re: Current Average Processing Times for Spouse of Finnish Citizen RP. NON-EU
Visit for ‘identification’ was just done.
Application moved from ‘Visit a service point’ to ‘waiting for processing’. So it is in the ‘queue’.
May I ask which country?
Good luck!

I applied online recently and it took about 3 weeks for me. I've seen others mention anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks, so that seems to be the ballpark.

I also just visited the embassy for identification and today mine moved to "Waiting for processing" as well. Has anything changed on your application yet?
I'm applying from Egypt, what about you, if I may ask?

Yep same, other people's experiences are very different. It's either 2 weeks or like 6+ months lol. I will let you know if I get an answer to mine!

Approx. 1,5 month and got positive decision.
We are waiting for the card.
When you receive card, could you please confirm if Migri put the ‘moving date’ from your application on it?
In the positive response- it says it starts now.
But we put a date in 2025 in our application…
So we will wait for the card and see.
It is ok but ideally you would think they use the ‘moving date’ provided in application.
Kiitos!

Of course I will let you know when I receive the card.
If you don't mind me asking, did it move to "In Progress" before they informed you that the decision was ready? And if so, how long did it take to move from "In progress" to "Decision is ready"?
Kiitos!

Btw I emailed migri about this before I applied, about when the permit will be valid and their response was, and I am quoting "In most cases, the permit will be valid from the day you provided when applying."Winchester1405 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2024 6:38 pmCongratulations! For me- it moved to In progress and Decision on the exact same day.
Yeah- we are loosing 6months of the permit!
We put a date in 2025 for moving but it is not what the Decision email mentions.
If we knew that…we would have waited to apply…
But the Migri web site says it can take 6 months so we went aafe and applied ‘too early’ maybe a bit.
Still happy.
Best of luck!

Hi!
Any update for those who have their application processed? Or any experiences with processing times?
I'm just wondering how this reform to the citizenship affects the residence permit application (if in any way). But I did notice that they have updated the processing times in the migri website have now been lowered from 6 months to 4 months (for spouse of finnish citizen) and 3 months (for spouse of a person with a residence permit). I find it out that the easier application (Finnish spouse) takes longer. Don't you?
