hey all sorry if I'm in wrong place to ask. my husband had an Ecster account and we agreed on a payment plan . he forgot to pay it one month and we received a payment default from a bank . we called they told us it will be gone within 30 days of payment. we did pay it all debt.
problem is until i start working we manage bills by always leaving one to pay after 2 weeks 1 month , sometimes we get a reminder letter.
will it be difficult later on ? we are planning to buy a house . how long does bad credit stay if we pay all our debts in 2 years ? it's stressful but we all been to a bad place and moving is difficult let's hope I can get to work soon
bad credit
Re: bad credit
The reminder letters are just that, they are not recorded on your credit history. They must send a certain number of reminders before taking action which effects your credit record, I forget the exact number but it is more than 1. You can search online for sites where you can check your history in finland, they check the same record used by lenders and you can check your own history I believe in some cases for free. In Finland only bad credit history is recorded. So a good record is no record

There’s also a positive credit register now but it doesn’t record payment reminders.Allen wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2025 10:03 amThe reminder letters are just that, they are not recorded on your credit history.
