Good evening...the employer put us on temporary layoff..(each employee for 3 months)...because otherwise he would close or sell his business, so we all employees agreed...but today we found out that the employer sold the his car, he took a loan of 30,000 euros to buy a new jeep.....how should we workers react?? is this legal??

What's the legal form of the business? If it's, for example, the owner of a LLC doing stuff privately, it has no legal connection to the temporary layoffs.DanaiDZ wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2025 12:48 pmGood evening...the employer put us on temporary layoff..(each employee for 3 months)...because otherwise he would close or sell his business, so we all employees agreed...but today we found out that the employer sold the his car, he took a loan of 30,000 euros to buy a new jeep.....how should we workers react?? is this legal??

Of course it's his right to do what he wants but I'm talking about the psychological pressure of the workers who were forced to agree under the fear of full unemployment...and finally it turned out that he was lying.

Why is it a lie? If it's an LLC, the owner is not required to support a failing business.
