Hey guys
Ill probably do my bachelor in finland in a year or two. I have lived here for a couple of years already (work).
I should generally be eligible for stuff like housing support etc. at least according to the information i have found on official websites.
Now the thing is that i managed to save a somewhat significant amount of money over the years (Upper end of the 5 digit numbers). Does KELA care about that? Will i be forced to burn my savings before i get support? I sure hope not. I'd find it ridiculous.
Please reply if you know anything about this.

The rules vary between various benefits. For example, student housing benefits with the changes coming into effect soon, will take income into account.Ykarazu wrote: ↑Thu Mar 27, 2025 8:02 amHey guys

Just passively keeping money in an account doesn't change this benefit.
